A common mouse feature is to have a horizontal scroll (pushing the wheel side to side) in addition to the normal vertical scroll (spinning the wheel up/down). Simply pick up the mouse and give the scroll wheel a few sharp puffs of breath.
Or vice versa It also occasionaly gets the cursor out of control - like when i can't place where i want it amd it keeps appearig in a completely random location, anywhere but where i point it to.
